One of the best things we can do for ourselves is eat healthy and nutritious food. Nutrition is called the ‘great medicine’ in Ayurveda. Food that supports our digestive system and nourishes our body will keep us healthy irrespective of our age. A well-balanced diet is the basis for strength and vitality for both body and mind.

In this course you will learn about the digestive fire, the six different tastes, the stages of digestion, food for different doshas, the trigunas of food, supporting and strengthening digestive fire and more.

About the training

This Ayurvedic Nutrition course is a comprehensive program that delves into the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda, offering a profound understanding of the relationship between food, health, and well-being. The course provides you with valuable insights into the principles of Ayurvedic nutrition, emphasizing the importance of balance and individualized dietary choices.

You will explore the doshas (Vata, Pitta, and Kapha), learning how these elemental forces influence one’s constitution and nutritional needs. The curriculum covers practical aspects such as identifying suitable foods for each dosha, creating balanced meals, and using herbs and spices to enhance digestion. you will gain the knowledge and skills to apply Ayurvedic principles to promote optimal health and harmony in youw own live.

Day 1 is ‘introduction to Ayurveda’. This package is including this first class. Please contact us if you have sufficient knowledge of Ayurveda and only want to take the two Nutrition classes.

For whom?

Anyone with an interest in Ayurveda can enroll in this course, no previous knowledge in Ayurveda is required. 

This course will be highly beneficial if you are interested in natural healing systems, have an open mind and have motivation to make certain lifestyle changes.

A certificate of completion will be given to all participants. If you are a registered Yoga Alliance teacher, you can use this course for ongoing education hours. 

Program

The duration of the training is 6 hours. The training takes place on 3 evenings at the Neo Yoga Delft studio. Additionally, you can expect to spend some hours on your own time, reading and doing some coursework. You will receive some handouts with an overview of the theory.

There is no final assignment in the Ayurvedic Nutrition course. Upon completion, you will receive a certificate, and the hours can be used as ‘Continued Education’ for your teacher registration with Yoga Alliance.
