In a world that often expects women to function the same every day, the natural hormonal cycle can feel challenging. This workshop offers a gentle, holistic approach using Ayurveda and Yoga to better understand these changes and restore balance. Through simple tools in diet, lifestyle and yoga practice, you will learn how to support your body and cultivate a more balanced approach to women’s health at every stage of life.

About

In modern times, the monthly cycle is considered to be a hindrance to daily life. For many women, the hormonal changes the body goes through can lead to discomforts like cramps, fluid retention, lower back pain, heaviness in the body and mind, emotional ups and downs and so on. Not wanting to acknowledge the changes the body goes through or the pressures from the outside world or simply not knowing what to do can intensify these symptoms. This
has a direct influence on the symptoms during menopause as well. Ayurveda and Yoga can play a vital role in balancing the hormonal changes during these times. Simple dietary and lifestyle changes can alleviate these discomforts. Moreover, yoga can also play a very important role in balancing hormones since every pose has an effect on the internal organs and they in turn influence the hormones. Adapting and choosing the poses that support the
hormonal changes can lead to a much more balanced approach to a woman’s health.

In this workshop we will do the following;

  • Look at how Ayurveda and Yoga view hormonal changes in women during pre-menstrual, menstrual, post-menstrual and menopause phases.
  • Look at how to adapt diet and lifestyle to support the changes. 
  • Do specific yoga poses that will further enhance deeper balance. 
  • Take ample time to discuss and share your thoughts.

 

Note: you need not have any prior knowledge of Ayurveda or Yoga.
